While Ameresco’s work is oriented to conservation efforts, we also seek to provide other opportunities to improve the quality of resident life, such as this program. This contribution to the Mayor’s Scholarship fund is a show of our support for his efforts to help low income students achieve.”
“I grew up in public housing, and know first hand, how difficult it is to pursue an education. I appreciate that Ameresco is willing to work with us to help youth in San Francisco. Providing opportunities like this is a key initiative of the Authority,” said Executive Director, Mr. Henry A. Alvarez III.
The San Francisco Housing Authority in conjunction with Ameresco is in the final stages of outfitting approximately 5,400 units with various energy efficient amenities, such as lighting and water upgrades, new heating and ventilation systems, and cogeneration.
